"I was first inspired as I watched a potter take a lump of clay and shape it into a useful vessel, all the while comparing how the shaping of the clay can be compared to our lives in the hands of God. I had never before worked with clay and didn't know how to make pottery. Yet, I kept feeling God nudging me to develop this type of outreach ministry about God's grace and transforming power. After a season of prayer, I decided to follow God's leading. I asked my wife, Judy, to come along side of me and in June 1997, we gave the first Potter's Message ."

Potter's Message

In 1997, Carl and Judy began an outreach ministry known as the "Potter's Message." Using a potter's wheel and clay, they demonstrate how clay in the hands of the potter can be compared to our lives in the hands of God.

Carl and Judy married in 1969 and live in the Bluegrass State of Kentucky. They have 2 wonderful sons and daughters-in-law, and 5 amazing grandchildren.

Judy has authored two books: Hallelujah! Amen. It is Done and Take Up the Praise! and Walk on Water.
